Cally

Family
Twelve
months ago, we collected “Thingamebob Gift of Gold” from Jane and Dave. As we had already been owned by two
Beardies, we were confident we could cope with the little fawn and white
scrap but little did we realise just how easy it would be to train Cally,
as he is now known. From day one,
he slept right through the night and, lucky us, still sleeps 7 or 8 hours -
his bladder must be as big as his kind heart! Within a couple of week, he was completely
housetrained – thanks to Jane and Dave’s early efforts in this department. Everything Jane
says on her website about her puppies’ early training is true. By the time we collected Cally, he was
completely at ease with the usual things puppies are scared of, the vacuum
cleaner, the washer etc. He was
socialised, easy to groom (how things have changed!) and was lead trained. Cally loves everyone and everything
(except next door’s cat) – rather too much sometimes!. Like all Beardies, Cally has a mind of
his own; he steals anything he can reach and suffers from selective
deafness on occasions but one look from his gorgeous green eyes and he is
forgiven. The little scrap is now a
lively, handsome, 14 months old Yeti look-alike, who has won everyone’s
heart. We feel 10 years older
(joke!) but it’s all been worth it.
Richard and I thank Jane, Dave
and their family (two legged and four) for giving their puppies such a good
start in life and for their continuing support and friendship. Just one point, Jane
– where did you put the volume control?
